Guest mogwai
Is this just for cutting up samples to get them nice and clean for looping in say Reason or a hardware sampler ?

Guest phlux0r
ReCycle will allow you to load loops into it and then you can get it to automatically chop up the loop into slices that make up the loop beats. You then have the choice of applying some signal processing functions to it (like filtering and others). Finally you can export the loop as a REX file to load into Reason or Logic 5xx or if you have a hardware sampler you can directly export your slices or sample into the sampler via MIDI. You are not restricted to load only loops in but also single hit samples but the main use of ReCycle is for slicing drum loops. I, myself, use it mainly to load up my Akai sampler with samples from the PC.
ouroboros
it will also export as a mixman .trk file...... if you feel like using mixman for anything.
Guest Red Headed Stepchild
I think that using recycle in reason can be extremely creative as long as you don't use the pieces in a perfect loop over and over again. I you toss around the pieces in different orders then the Rex player can be like a very useful drum sampler. Also the recyle program itself has a pretty good editing section so you can make a loop have deeper bass or have a tighter attack exc...
