cd buring software

i'm using adaptec software to burn cd's - but i find on some burns its missing half the track and when i then preview this in adaptec just before burning i can see thats its only seeing half the track (ish) - but if i play it in winamp then it plays fine - has this anything to do with the software i'm using? help:)

I used to run into this problem, but then i downloaded the upgrade to 5.1 and it fixed the problem, in your Roxio Project Selector... On the right go to "web check up" box". See if there is an upgrade for your OS.

adaptec burning software is very 'buggy' and really only intended for beginners... try using nero instead
