Hello , i am kinda new to this forum and if anyone has posted this please tell me where:)

When, using logic , do you guys use softsynths till the end ? Or do you bounce the samples......?

I kinda do the both ... I like bouncing for Kicks hits and all the tssssch tsssch that comes around in the song but for melodies basselines etc. . i like realtime processing (for the effects and "in-song" filtering)

On pc's realtime editing really sucks bigtime , it just aint fast enough.....

(asio overload crap)

Mac goes kinde good but also has his limitations.

I am planning to buy a MAC with powercore card instead of pc with powercore card.

I love to work realtime so pc is out of the question i gues....

Any opinion about it ? Mac is verry expensive so any advice is verry welcome!

Thx in advance Kristof @ Belgium

Umm... i think you can do same things with PC and MAC...... there is no such a big difference between Logic's editing whethere it's on PC or MAC. Sure there is "asio overload crap" if the soundcard is crap......... i have Echo Mia and the latency can be set as low as 3ms.... but usually i use 7mm and have never had any overload problems.... 8 vst synths run just fine. :) But some say MACs are more stable for audio work..... i can't comment on that since i have used MACs only for graphic software.

héhé, i know, i HAVE real synths to :) :) But my behringer is fucked up (mix table) and now i am going to switch to powercore and Logic controll...

So softsynths are (FOR NOW) the number one favourite , but i get the biggest kicks out of "real time knob twisting filtering" etc.....

No mixer => no hardware synths....

By the way , anyone knows a technician in Belgium who knows Behringer mixers ?
