Guest dim Posted August 3, 2002 Posted August 3, 2002 fruityloops, cubase sx, logic audio, buzz, sonar, acid. 95% iof the music producers using pc are using either one of those programs. Quote
Guest Gaittins Posted August 3, 2002 Posted August 3, 2002 There are many options depending on your platform PC or MAC. If you are a PC user definitely use Steinberg's Cubase VST, Fruity Loops, and logic. If you are producing on a MAC you can also use Cubase VST. I use Digital Performer 2.7 and a bunch of gear. I get everything written in MIDI and then track the parts as audio. Then I export the stems and import them into ProTools so I can work with my engineer. Quote
Guest 24/96 Posted August 4, 2002 Posted August 4, 2002 the brand new version off cubase sx...heaps easier than the usual head stress of setting up midi etc and the sound is superior.... Quote
Guest Lifeform Posted August 4, 2002 Posted August 4, 2002 agreed 24/96, i've never experienced such joy and inspiration while writing my tracks. SX is an amazing music app, can't wait till it works with wavelab though, and i'm still getting used to how it handles VSTi's in the mixer. They got the automation down perfect the first time, that ussually doesn't happen in most progs... haha. Like when you have to wait till version 5. That's not ment to be a diss... Quote
Guest eOi Posted August 8, 2002 Posted August 8, 2002 No-one's mentioned Reason yet! Needs mastering tho since export .wav are a bit timid, go T-Racks/Ozone etc... Pax [eOi] Quote
Guest blink Posted August 21, 2002 Posted August 21, 2002 couldn't agree more e01. reason is an excellent prog for making complete trance tracks. and t-racks is the way to go for mastering for you low-tech fluoronauts out there. blink Quote
Guest eXpulse Posted August 26, 2002 Posted August 26, 2002 no matter how you try you are never gonna be as good as all those boy bands out there Quote
Guest nick Posted August 28, 2002 Posted August 28, 2002 sorry but i think t-racks is shite. use the new waves bundle, c4 compressor. Quote
Guest thesoul Posted October 8, 2002 Posted October 8, 2002 reasonv2.0 + T-racks. that's the way to go. and floops is pretty good too; i'd say floops + reason + t-racks + cubase + music talent [in your head; and not a software] makes a great psytrack. Quote
