Guest Snowball
does any one know how to create laser-like sound and beams such as absolum´s sounds in song #4 from the Wild album. I have a nordlead 2, Reason, And the Reaktor 3.0 virtual synth. PS: Alien project and Astrix use those lazer-like sounds as well, they are very characteristic. I´ve made some sound that closely resemble them but I can´t get the exact modeling.
Guest go@lex
why doing the same things like astrix or Alien project? why not write your own noises???? it's more innovative! i think...
Guest acidophilous
Hey I would like to know myself, only for the fact that it's been driving me nuts for months now! How is it done? It sounds like a fast pitch lfo or fast filter lfo but like Snowball it just doesnt sound right. oh and about writing your own noises, i think you are correct thats why Hallucinogen, GMS, Plaedians, Astrix, Alien Project, Deedrah, Astral Projection, etc should take your advice rather than copy every one else, I mean how many times do we have to hear a filtered sound for christ sake or even a kick drum! give it up already... and yes i'm being sarcastic. )
Guest mk-11
pretty sure those efx you are talking about are from the virus synths??
Guest acidophilous
Hmm.. the Virus huh? I wonder if it's those delays on that box, from what I heard, these delays can be modulated in realtime without glitches. Then again many artists have done this sound without the use of a virus so this tells me its not unique to it.
