soem aeld
I have a synth. A Waldorf MicroQ, but I can't stand the rack format. I feel very trapped when using it.. hmm.. too bad 'cus it's really cool. So I'm thinking about selling it and buy a new synth. Is the Korg Prophecy any good? I don't want anything too complicated with everything ever invented packed into one synth. I want something like the MS2000 (my brother has one of those...). A simple VA synth with a keyboard. (Don't tell me to buy a Clavia Nordlead1,2or3, JP8000 or MS2000)
Guest KimmZ
What's up, man. I would NOT recommend the Korg Prophecy if you want something simple. The Prophecy is probably one of the deepest modeling synths you'll find on the market...unlimited waveforms, countless parameters/adjustments, etc. Unless you're willing to dedicate a LOT of time fucking around with it to fully reach its potential, I think you're better off getting something else that will give you more immediate results. If you're willing to shell out the cash for a Nord, maybe you should consider the Virus KC or a used Virus KB. I personally just aquired a Virus Rack and plan to get the Virus C tabletop within the next couple months (I'm more of a knobby person than keyboard). Hope you find what you're looking for. Guest Bliss
If you are frustrated with the rack mount you can buy the Oxygen 8 at www.novamusik.com for $130 Its just a small keyboard knob midi contoller. Waldorfs microwave xtk is the keyboard vers. of microwave If you have the money The Q+ or supernovaII keyboard Or cheeper but still good I agree with kimmz above virus Kc very easy to learn.
