Guest DeeperNETWERK
Well.. My suggestion, and i'll apply it to how i run my setup. I have a few synths and i use my 'normal" keyboard as a controller (which would be like the korg karma, but mines a korg N264) cause it has nice keys, full octave range, aftertouch, etc... just to program stuff out. And have my VA (virtual anolog) synths to my left for my extensive tweaking and weirdo sounds. The korg pretty much handles the multilayered pads and simple instruments, along with most of the programing. I also have a oxygen 8 strictly for drum programming to my right. So, my point being... How do you plan on using your board? An all around synth that would be like my N264? Or your extensive tweaking machine? As much as you are probably excited about just getting a full blown acid machine, it may be smart to get a all around synth like the karma first to cover the neccesities, and you'll have an excellent controller for all of your synths that you add apon this. You could even save a few hundred on your add ons but just buying the module and playing it off the karma. That's just my 2 cents though, i'm sure some others would dissagree. If you want to get a full blown VA, i'd go with the virus though, second to that, the Novation.
Guest moongol
thanks for your opinion... i am working with a Roland Mc 505 for most of the programming (drums and instruments) and the Sp808 ex to launch samples or use the mix ... but i was looking for a, like you said, all around synth... thanks
