Strumpling Posted October 10, 2002 Posted October 10, 2002 what are the coolest free plugs I can use with cubase sx? Quote
Guest hoffy Posted October 11, 2002 Posted October 11, 2002 sorry to be off topic, but what happened to the general forum? ps: go to kazaa, and get GRM Tools 1 & 2- as for free plugins, delaylama is a fun one Quote
Guest combeferre Posted October 11, 2002 Posted October 11, 2002 I like the karlette tapeloop echo simulator but that's just me. Perhaps not as useful as other delay plugs for conventional uses but with a bit of practice it's great at making shimmering "wall of sound" type echo effects. If you're using the kazaa definition of "free" I highly recommend steinberg's quadrafuzz distortion, the best distortion ever but you have to be careful with it as things can quickly get ridiculous if you overdrive it too much, although ridiculous may be just what you're looking for. Also it's a bit of a cpu-hog but IMHO it's worth it for that sound. In fact it's even worth PAYING for (gasp!) like I did, even though my only VST-compatible ap is fruity loops! Quote
Guest Mike Indidginus Posted October 11, 2002 Posted October 11, 2002 Doesn't Cubase SX come with some pretty cool plugins already Strump? One step at a time geezer... Quote
