If you have, and tell me if i'm wrong, you'll maybe have noticed the backing track to the ad ..99 % sure it's shpongle ...what's happening ??? Quote
Guest MK Posted February 5, 2002 Posted February 5, 2002 I've havent seen the ad yet - never really watched the show too - but many people seem to like it...It's filmed around where i live so it's a little too close to home! i dunno if its true but i hear the show is big in the UK and parts of Asia as well. Guest CrusadeR Posted February 5, 2002 Posted February 5, 2002 Whats so strange in Yugoslavia there is a TV show about marketing and media research, and the music in the backgroun is Infected Mushroom from The Gathering album.. Quote
shpongled Posted February 6, 2002 Posted February 6, 2002 I saw Texas Faggott video from tv last week... it was as wacky as their music. Quote
Guest nomad Posted February 6, 2002 Posted February 6, 2002 i've never really watched it either..although considering it is, as you say MK, big in the UK ..it kinda makes sense cos so is shpongle Quote
Guest bugbread Posted February 7, 2002 Posted February 7, 2002 I don't know how things are in your respective countries, but here, the people with the best musical tastes are CLEARLY the people who select background music for TV shows. I hear the coolest techno tracks during the news, a big eating contest show used Juno Reactor as background music, I hear plenty of Future Sound of London, and one show has jungle and kecak. Quote
Colin OOOD Posted August 31, 2006 Posted August 31, 2006 ... and one show has jungle and kecak. 9626[/snapback] What's 'kecak'? Quote
Trolsk Posted August 31, 2006 Posted August 31, 2006 According to Wikipedia Kecak is: "Kecak (pronounced: "KEH-chahk", alternate spellings: Ketjak, Ketjack, and Ketiak), a form of Balinese music drama, originated in the 1930s and is performed primarily by men. Also known as the Ramayana Monkey Chant, the piece, performed by a circle of 100 or more performers wearing checked cloth around their waists, percussively chanting "cak", and throwing up their arms, depicts a battle from the Ramayana where monkeys help Prince Rama fight the evil King Ravana. However, Kecak has roots in sanghyang, a trance-inducing exorcism dance." Full article Quote
