Reason and psy

Im new to production and im about to put alot of time into figuring out Reason. Im not too interested in doing complicated sequencing at this point but more to making very intense psychedellic sounds. Is this prog good for getting wild samples?? or is another all-in-one music program better?

I'd personally not go with this for twisted FX.

I'd invest in a standalone version of SimSynth which is about £30, but is awesome for messy noises!

The synths filter shape can be drawn in, along with amplitude and oscdrive, so it can get real weird. Also it has got a FAST Lfo, and the filter can get very resonant and dirty if desired. The 3 oscilators can modulate each other and it has a built in step sequencer, and exports to wave. For one off stab sounds, and pad drones it absolutely rocks!

If you are using Reason then try this go up to the mixer on the return effects try daisy chaining several effects type together on one return channel. For instance take the delay and chain it into a filter and chain that into a eq effect. this might take some playing around but I have found it to come up with some strange effects. And as always try to play around with the LFO and Noise and anything else on the instrument. pese
