Guest lunar
I don't think the Sh-101 is good for that jobb (tired of that sound)..what about nordlead? or virus?? or perhaps a juo-106?? Can you recomend something for the basslines?? Lunar
Guest Spindrift
If the nord or virus was any good at basses you would most likely be very tired of that sound as well, considering how much they are used for leads etc. The juno is used by many people and can make a fat round sound, same as with the 101. Mordern analogs like the studio electronics stuff, can sound tighter than most vintage instruments, but is more pricey also. The syntechno t-bee 303 emulator gives a nice bass sound as well. The only virtual analogue synths i like to use for bass is ones on the creamware scope platform. Also, by using eq, compression and saturation to process somthing like a 101 you can get quite a variety of bass sounds out of it.
Guest coriolis
agreed, spindrift, on the creamware scope platform. lots of nice basses. get a pulsar card and you'll never regret it. lots more than just good bass sounds on that thing. coriolis. Guest lunar
I found a Juno 106 for about 350 $..is it worth it??
Guest Andreas of Amygdala
It can be done cheaper.... Of course depends on the condition of the 'board. It's a cool synth, although it has limited possibilities - but *G*reat sound I think I gave something like $250 for mine... But their popularity is increasing steadily... Good luck! Guest Lunar man
i bought it 2 days ago..the condition is excellent..not a single scratch..it's looks like it was new...i bought it from a girl (good looking to:) that got it as birthday present 7 years ago..she played on the synth once..that was it ..and it was 3500 swedish kr..so i guess it's like 330$ or something like that...
