Unwanted MIDI Messages

Maybe one of you guys could help me out here. I've just reinstalled Windows XP cause my registry got screwed somehow. Because of this, my CD ROM drives would not function. So, I've been reinstalling all my software all night. I open up SX, hook up my JP, and get my Oxygen 8 set up to program my JP. It seems the Oxygen 8 is sending midi messages into SX cause the volume to be next nothing, I can't barely hear it. On the LED, it justs to 30 and 29. I've tried resetting this damn thing... But no luck. I know someone will say... Why dont you use your bigger synths to program your MIDI. Well, in my College apartment, it is not so convient to have a full keyboard sitting in front of my computer monitor. The Oxygen 8 fits perfectly. I leave my synths off to the side, mainly used for tone generators. Anyways... I tried bypassing the O8 and tried to program of my JP to see if it was my midi interface that was doing something weird, but it worked fine. I know there are a few people on the forums with Oxygen 8's... So, if you could help me out, that'd be cool.

hi

I have an oxygen8 win xp and cubase.... but i didn't quite understand the problem you described, haven't encountered anything similar myself. Some programs allow you to filter midi messages. I have a luna card and it lets you do that, but if I understand correctly your problem shouldn't happen in the first place so...
