Guest Tentwins
What would you recommend to start creating music??? I guess a PC base programm would be the start, but which one?? Do I need a fast and new PC?? I really want to start creating music. I know in the beginning it won't be easy and it won't be good, but hey, I gotta start somewhere. Guest underslunky
Do you already have a PC? If so then start using it! It doesn't have to be amazing to get you started - good music has been written on Ataris... Get hold of some sort of sequencing programme (there's millions of them, have a look at some other threads to get an idea - Fruity Loops seems popular but I don't use it myself) and get writing! If you don't have a computer already it's quite a big investment (unless you were planning to get one anyway) - if I were you I would by some sort of groovebox (Roland make some good but pricey ones, Korg make some things called Electribes and Yamaha make some good sequencers, eg RM1x). I bought an RM1x, and I still use it despite now having a computer as well. It's a good way to learn IMO because it has all types of sounds available straightaway and if you can programme sequences in a groovebox it's fairly easy to transfer the skill to a computer sequencer (Cubase, Logic etc.). Good luck!
