Is Microwave XT fat?? and one more question..important..plea

I got an offer to trade my roland JP-8000 against a Microwave XT..both machines are in great condition...something i should mention is that i have a Waldorf Q, but i think is the best synth ever..so what do you think?? is the XT fat???? should i trade it...help please

As far as I know, the JP8000 and Waldorf Q are based on the same concept - virtual analog, or analog modelling. The MW-XT is based on wavetables, so I would think that it's a good trade, since you will be able to use wavetables, when formerly you weren't....

 

Oh, and it's fat with a PH as well, when you learn to ooze it :)

The MW has classic analog waveforms Square, saw, tri (i think)so it can emulate phat analog sounds BUT the wavetables along with the modulation matrix and arpeggiator are where things really start to get interesting ;)
