Guest Andreas of Amygdala
As far as I know, the JP8000 and Waldorf Q are based on the same concept - virtual analog, or analog modelling. The MW-XT is based on wavetables, so I would think that it's a good trade, since you will be able to use wavetables, when formerly you weren't.... Oh, and it's fat with a PH as well, when you learn to ooze it .oO Andreas Oo.
Guest irrelevance
The MW has classic analog waveforms Square, saw, tri (i think)so it can emulate phat analog sounds BUT the wavetables along with the modulation matrix and arpeggiator are where things really start to get interesting

Guest Weston
Oh yeah. Definitely a good trade. I love the way the XT sounds. You can get some WICKED atmospheric pad style shit out of it.
