Guest X-tul Posted February 3, 2003 Posted February 3, 2003 If you use this with a computer, I would connect the MIDI Out of the Juno to the In of the computer. Set the MIDI Thru option of your sequencer On. Connect the computer MIDI Out to the Waldorf In, and the Waldorf Thru to the bassstation In, the basstation Thru to the Juno In (the order here doesn't matter, except if one of the synths produces delays in the MIDI Thru signals). That way you can play all 3 instruments via the Juno keyboard by routing the MIDI signals inside the sequencer. If you don't want to connect everything to your computer connect the Out of the Juno to the In of one of the other two (basstation or Waldorf). Then connect the Thru port of that one to the In port of the last one. You'll have to set the MIDI channels correctly for each machine. If connecting to the computer you'll also want the Local MIDI option of the Juno set to off (I don't know if that's possible on the Juno). With 3 synths and one keyboard I would suggest you get a multiple In Out MIDI Interface, as you will only be able to play 16 parts simultaneously for all 3 synths. With 1 MIDI In and 3 MIDI Outs you can play 48 parts simultaneously on your 3 synths. Quote
Guest labyrinth Posted February 4, 2003 Posted February 4, 2003 oxygen 8 controller? I am going to be purchasing my audio setup soon and I found a good deal on an oxygen 8 controller. While I know it would be useful for playing my soft synths, my question is about it's midi capabilities. This thing is also a midi interface based on the midisport series, it has a midi out and midi thru. Would I need an additional midiport to sync my hard synths (korg triton and roland jx-305 connected via midi: triton master, roland slave) to cubase sl? I'm not too experienced in midi, I just know how to sync my keyboards so I'm not sure exactly how you sync them to a software sequencer. Could I run a cable from the oxygen's out to the triton's in to sync to cubase? Or do I need an out from the triton going to an in on a midiport connected to my computer? Thanks for any info, suggestions on this. peace rhythm is life Quote
