Guest Billy
Question who need to be answer: 1. The Luna 2 has a 3 shark processor, my question is how many synths and effects can i use at the same time with 3 shark processor, compared with Puslar 2? 2. Is Luna 2 the same as Pulsar 2 only thing between those is the amount of shark processor? or is the pulsar 2 better in soundqualty or are the both of them the same? Guest symbi0te
1) it depends on the synths and effects you want to load, and how much voices you want for each synth. the luna2 is pretty limited, you can load a mixer and a few effects and maybe a synth, or a single complex synth or modular patch, etc. there are some charts on planetz.com in the pulsar section, but these are for older versions of the software/devices. 2) the pulsar2 is twice as powerful as the luna2, otherwise they are identical. soundquality-wise, you will probably have problems running a luna2 at 96khz, while a pulsar2 could handle enough devices to do something useful. id say all in all that a luna2 is pretty limited, you'll run out of processing power fairly fast, while a pulsar2 can handle a more interesting amount of stuff, enough to do something useful without having to wave-write each time you want to add an effect or whatnot. Guest coriolis
the luna's 3 dsps will definately dissapoint you. the luna is creamwares "taster" card - you're going to get a taste and want more. if you can afford it by any stretch, go the extra mile and get the pulsar to begin with. plus, you probably will get a better package that way (i think), meaning you get more synths, fx, and all, whereas the luna packages (i think) include less. so not only does the pulsar II have more dsps (which are very valuable and get eatern quickly, even by mixers), but the bundles are better (i think - double check on this), and thats important because you want as many of those synths and fx as you can get, since a dsp card is worth nothin unless you have algorithms to run on it... coriolis
