Guest Faxanadu
if your card is full-duplex, meaning can playback and record at the same time, and i think most if not all cards even most cheapo ones are... then you can play your div-x or dvd or whatever in the program you normally play it in. Start wavelab or any other recording software and hit record. There you go. Faxanadu www.angelfire.com/droid/kd-ip
Guest PeeBoo
won´t that make a lot of disturbing noises.....??? well i´ll try it.......thanx!
Guest Faxanadu
It won't make noizes because you are recording digital bits inside your computer.... the quality will depend on you and your soundcard - the bit rate and sample rate, but at 16but 44,100 and above you shouldn't get noize problems. Guest PeeBoo
well, i tried to record it in wavelab, but i didn´t manage to record it..... im a little bit rookie, you know.....=) I think it´s something with the mic......could you please tell me how to set things in wavelab to get it the right way???? thanx
Guest Faxanadu
No mic needed, you should be able to play the div-x and record to wavelab internallly... what soundcard do you have and do you know if it can play and record at the same time? Guest PeeBoo
faxandu: I don´t know what soundcard i have.... santa cruz or something( I think)..... well, i unplugged the mic, and there was absolutely no recording, so i think it´s something with the settings in wavelab....=( Fugelpitch:i haven´t got a broadband, so it takes a lot of time to download something...... and i don´t feel like sitting online for hours,so i won´t......=(
Guest E.T.
There is a small speaker icon in the taskbar - double click it. Choose 'options/properties/recoding' and click ok. Mark the soundcard output (should be called 'stereo out', 'what you hear', 'audio out' or something similar). Then go to wavelab and record as usual. Should work now. Faxanadu is wrong: actually it will produce some noise as it's not internal recording, but don't worry about it - divx movies have much more noise in the background than your soundcard can produce. Guest Faxanadu
E.T why isn't this internall?
Guest E.T.
Because that's the way soundcards are designed. Everything that goes to soundcard is recorded after it goes out thru DAC. It would be internal only when the recording is done within the software. If you need internal recording, use software like Virtual Audio Cable. Actually it doesn't even need a soundcard to record any internal sources straight to the harddisk.
Guest fAXANADU
so what you are saying is everything goes out the DAC and back in through to the ADC? Huh? Why is it done that way, I've never seen anything about it. Faxanadu
