Guest Amit_t
i m using frooty and have moved to cubase recently... the bassline synth in cubase sounds decent enuf .... but i want to learn how to create a deep bassline in frooty either using wasp or the 3 osc or the tbl i know a good bassline is created at a low frequency in a sine wave and i get the sound but only it sounds too wide (muddy?) in the final mix ... yes i v compressed it but dunno how well .... plus is it possible to create a deep psy-type bass using these soft synths? any tips/tricks ? Guest DeeperNETWERK
Are you trying to make a simple trance bassline? 3 osc? sine wave? ...This is probably where you are going wrong. 3 osc, is gonna completely mud up your bassline... Most psy is just a simple saw, or square wave (1 osc). There is no rule in using 3 osc for your bassline... But, that's gonna get pretty wide, and messy just to keep the track going. Which VSTi's are you using? The stock synth, neon, can do a pretty good job at psybasslines (and most people laugh at me for saying that, but a good musician can make anythin sound good, and it really does work). It's not my preferable bass synth, but it'll do what you want it to do with a bit of programming. There are hundreds of VSTi's out there... Download some demos and find your guns. Guest Jeto
Also the stock vst synth called "vb1" is very good for bassline I know Zorba , Psycraft, GMS use this in many songs... just compress and eq it and it works wonders
