Guest Mike Indidginus
Simple enough? Should be, but it ain't working for me. I'm trying to get a midi part I have in Cubase to play via the Reason sampler. As far as I know, once Reason is running alongside Cubase, there should be additional midi outputs on the inspector drop down to route my midi part to Reason. But they don't seem to be there. Maybe I'm tired. Maybe I'm a dur brain. I don't know, but any tips are much appreciated
Guest DeeperNETWERK
What up mike? Lets see what we got here. Firstly... Open SX/VST first, !! enable rewire !! Open Reason. Cubase will automatically see reason. Ok... Then, create a mixer track in reason and start creating 'devices'. (you dont have to create a mixer. You can create devices in reason still but you must enable more rewire channels in SX/VST and chain the devices in reason manually to the "reason hardware interface". This will give each devices it's own channel in reason... But it is a bitch to work with stereo devices! Easiest way is to create a group, and assign both left/right channels to it... Then it'll act as one solid true stereo channel. I hope that made sense) Then that should be it! -Deeper
Guest DeeperNETWERK
...I wrote that too fast. This will give each devices it's own channel in CUBASE, not reason....
Guest Mike Indidginus
Hey Deeper Netwerk Thanks dude. I sussed it about 5 minutes after posting.... I opened the damn things in the wrong order!!! I opened Cubase first & Reason after, so the outputs weren't displayed in the inspector window. Opening Reason first sorted this out. Told you I was too tired.... Have a good weekend man
