Guest Andreas of Amygdala
Hi guys Have any of you had succes with running SoundDiver and Logic at the same time, so that the MIDI messages from logic comes through to the external synth, while editting patches in SoundDiver? This is an obvious feature, that should be supported, so why it doesn't work easily puzzles me... If you don't know SoundDiver, and have external synths, get it! Thanks in advance, .oO Andreas Oo. Guest Mike Indidginus
Hi Andreas, I run Sound Diver & Cubase alright. It can be a bit touch & go at times though, depending on how hard I'm pushing my processor. If I'm looping a midi part & scanning through patches in Sound Diver for an appropriate sound, it will change over the current patch to the one I select, just a little slowly. Is that what you mean? Guest Andreas of Amygdala
Sort of I want to be able to trigger notes from the keyboard during soundDiver sessions - It just came to my mind, that I may want to start logic first and THEN sounddiver, hehe. But still, Logic doesn't recognize my MIDI-interface while soundDiver is running, so why should it work the other way around...? Maybe it does I just got SoundDiver, and the idea is incredibly cool - and the idea seems to have been well implemented. I'll really start programming my JV-2080 for real now... You ain't seen nothing yet!! .oO Andreas Oo.
Guest phlux0r
Definitely start Logic first then SoundDiver. That works for me, then you can edit patches while looping some notes for your synth and listen to the changes. Sometimes it's a bit sketchy but mostly it works ok. You need to make sure that the MIDI out from your synth is coming back to SoundDiver.
