Hi all, i play guitar in a alternative rock band, the problem is that i dont know so much about keyboards and synths

i want to use it like radiohead do, more or less.

i have been looking information and i want your opinion about this , and what do you think is better for me.

Clavia Nord lead G2

Clavia Nord Modular

Novation K-Station

Novation Ks4

Waldorf MicroQ keyboard

Acces Virus Indigo.

thanks for your help.

off the top of my head --

do not get

k-station -- because it has no multimode filter, limits the use for weird / abstract noises / sound-design / etc....

nord modular - if u dont know much about synths, a modular will be too complex

microq ?? - is this a virtual analog? i'm not sure. if its not, if its some weird waldorf wavetable thing, then again, if u dont know much about synths, this may be too weird and difficult

possibly get

nord lead

ks4

virus

as all these are fully capable and well respected virtual analogs.

even then, tho, this advice is crude and generalised, any of the synths you list are excellent kit, and in the right hands could give excellent results. best advice is just to get to your nearest music tech shop and ask to try them out! play around with as many of them as you can find and see which u prefer the sound/interface of.

the problem is that where i live.... in Tenerife ( an island of spain ) ... cant play those synths, only have korg , roland or yamaha.

and customers as clavia, acces, novation, and more... are not here.

thx for your help.

great gonna check it out this week!

is it more of the synth/spacey stuff of the last 2, or more back to the guitar driven maddness of ok comp?

thom said that for him is like ok computer 2, but i think that is like

ok computer + kid a = "hail to the thief"

have guitar tracks and electronic tracks, but all the time with an magnific melodic work,

for me the are the best. love that group
