Hi, everyone!

I'm in need of midi controller/master keyboard to control my synth. What I want is just plain keybs, no need for onboard sounds sequencer or anything, just pitch bend, mod wheel, pedal inputs, midi connections and reliable and good structure. And of course, good action would be nice. I really can't play keybs yet, but I'm not new to playing music. I think something near real piano would suit for me. I have thought about Fatar and Evolution, how about them? And others?

Any suggestions from you who know...?

You won't get great action on an Evolution but still a useful tool I think.

For the price you pay for a midi controller from Evolution, Fatar or Novation you could buy a used keyboard from Ebay. You'd have a better quality keyboard.

If you're lucky you might pick up a weighted master keyboard cheap on the auctions.

Yup, I'll look for used. Got any suggestions for series or models that combine good action with fair midi-capabilities? I really don't know what to look for.

Yeah, Remote 25 seems really flexible tool. But not so much for playing I guess, since it has only two octaves. Is there something similar with lets say 61-88 keys? It really doesn't need to have THAT much to play with.

Um, thanks. I'll think about that too. but what I currently have my eye on is Roland A-37. Got anything to say about it? Haven't played it myself, so I have no clue... looks and seems nice in specs and pics, but it is unweighted. I haven't found weighted keyboard with such midi controls. Do I need controller & keyboard instead of controller keyboard?

Well, I still have some time to think about it. Any info is welcome.
