i have just started to learn making music as of now i have a P4 PC with a shitty onboard soundcards which i know i got to change and softwares like Fruity LOOPS , reason 2.5 but what i wanted to know is that Fruity has Piano roll to get the right tunes but for reason i guess a Midi keyboard is must so could someone shed some light on this........

well i dont understand quit your question but if i get this right..so fruity and reason is pretty similar..reason have a "piano" roll like fruity =)

Thank you for responding to me lemme explain it to you as you know that your computer keyboard can be used to play tunes in Fruity Loops but in Reason there is no feature for the same purpose so is it compulsary that you need to hook up a keyboard thru the midiport..... :)

Yes..you are right..there is an option in reason that allows you to 'draw' without sticking to the grid, so you can perfect your timings (make it sound as if played on a keyboard or so) but this would take up SO much of your time it's actually not an option :P

Hey Thanxs pal for clearing my doubt..........cud anybody suggest a keyboard synth that can be hooked with reason for an amaetur person.
