shpongled
Can you people edit Absynth 2 sound patches when you are using it as VST instrument? For me it does not work..... version 1.3 (vsti) used to have that extra window where you could edit paches but this new version don't have it. Guest Jikkenteki
Abysnth 2 did away with the separate edit window, but the sounds are all still perfectly editable (at least they are in the copy I bought).
shpongled
When I click over Patch, Waveform, Effect, LFOs, Envelopes and Midi nothing happens. Shouldn't those buttons give some pop up windows where you can edit the sounds?
Guest ben
yes these buttons should give u some pop-up windows... try reinstalling absynth see if it helps, or else get an other copy...

Guest anal0g_brain
and btw never buy an original copy /why bother when you can buy hardware at the same price fuckin money suckers
Guest Jikkenteki
Sorry but no. Absynth is only like $250 brand new (I got mine for about $180 if I remember right). I'm sorry but you just can't buy any hardware that comes close to what Absynth can do quality wise for $250, period. With your logic you might as well say "Never buy a Nord Lead cuz its $2000 and a rip off, so just steal it cuz Clavia are just a bunch of money suckers"
Guest analog_brain
yeah yeah yeah whatever...clavia are fuckin money suckers 2 i didnt say the opposite/its a fuckin rip off for someone like me who gets by on a 600 euros monthly wage (and thats for most persons under 25 in my country)/i like music a lot but im not prepared to miss other pleasures of life just to buy a synth or a fuckin vst/instead i mostly use free vst /cheap secondhand hardware that rocks and im on my way of completing my first veeery veery cheap midi controller. If you do the same you ll see why music hardware is so much overrated...the cost of it is like reaaally close to zero for these companies let alone music software companies/i study computer science myself and if i can make a simple vst instrument in like a week then imagine how easy it is for them and how those fuckers profit :-/ 2 hell i say
Guest Jikkenteki
Sorry, but I have been involved in making music for 15 years now and I am well aware of hardware, software costs etc and I don't really buy your arguement at all. There is a lot more involved in the production costs of both hardware and software than just the cost of building the gear and burning the CDs. Both hardware and software companies go through thousands and thousands of hours in research and development making their products and the people doing this deserved to be paid. Rents for their factories, offices, warehouses, etc all need to be paid. Packaging costs (not to mention design), shipping costs, electricity, phone bills, webpage design and costs, import taxes on goods used in the manufacture, not to mention the wages, insurance, etc costs for their employees. Manuals need to be designed, written, double checked, printed, shipped back to the company, etc. Regardless if you know how to shop well you can buy these products are far below standard retail price. During the last three years I have only been employed for about 7 months and that was at a very low wage, yet I have managed to shop smartly, sell things i don't need on Ebay and buy all my expensive software as well as a Nord Lead and a Virus B so I don't feel at all sorry for your "I don't have money" excuse. If you are happy using free vsti's and cheap hardware (both fine, I use many such products too), that's fine, but just because you can't afford something doesn't make stealing it right. If you want a nice car, you save up and buy it, even if you think the car company charges way too much for it. The same applies to music gear.
