Guest miKeLogic Posted May 17, 2004 Posted May 17, 2004 Yes Sam, You automatically own the copyright to the music you make, as soon as you make it. It is free, and there is no service to register with. It is advisable though, to at least post a copy back to yourself on CD (and not open it when it arrives). This way if there's a dispute, ie. someone else says its their track, you can prove in court by opening the dated envelope that it was your track. Maybe you mean something else, like MCPS or PRS registration (in the UK). My advice is to send your music to record labels. They're the people who buy music! Peace, miKe Quote
Guest psy dude sam Posted May 18, 2004 Posted May 18, 2004 dude, thanx for ur suggestion. but u know, the copyright law is very different in india when compared to u.k n other wester n contries. here, i should copyright it as soon as i make music, to go comercial. my current situation is too bad. i can't even afford to buy the application form to copyright my music. i've jus completed my graduation. eventhough i work in a studio part time, i couldn't get enough money to copyright my music. the money i get , could only get ,me food n shelter. nothing more i could afford. sometimes, i save some money to go to parties. in this condition copyrightin my music is impossible. thats y i wanna sell my music n somebody who can buy it can copyright it themselves n they can make changes to it too. may b i should wait for some more time. thanx pal for ur concern. god bless. peace on earth. luv, sam Quote
