What do I need to make psy?

As they say, an overnight success takes fifteen years :)

A good sound card. Recommend M-Audio audiophile etc

Good speakers. Recommend anything by tannoy, genelec, atc, mackie. Speakers will last for ages, so is worth getting the best you can afford. Beware brands who just got into monitor sales, alesis, behringer, samson etc. Wait for a few models before they get it right. You can save money by getting passive monitors and amp such as samson servo. This will cost less, and not sound any worse. Active speakers are just popular at the moment, so they cost more......

Midi controller(s). Such as Evolution UC16, UC33, Behringer BCF, BCA or keyboard+controller combo like Novation models, m-audio oxygene etc

Soft synths: Pro53, reaktor, absynth, albino, es2, crystal, disco dsp discovery etc

Filters: G Force Plugins etc

Drum synth: Lin Plug RMIV

After a few years you will have some "product" that you can shop around the labels and hope for a release. In the mean time, get a laptop and play some gigs with your tunes live. That's the best part!

later,

miKe
