Guest benevolent demon
..I go about things a little unorthodox in how I record, I work backwards and find it works for what I want to do...SO I am running music out of my computer from reason/ sound forge stuff and putting it through a kaoss pad and then mixing it with two drum machines and two modular synths.. this all goes to my analogue to cd burner ...but Im basically recording parts and am looking for a product with enough precision that I can load them onto the computer and piece it together in a way that is VERY precise and not just weak like the Acid programs... in other words inserting various samples from all the cds I have recorded and being able to finally create some complete compositions, without insulting the integrity of the original piece(s). Im looking for something where I can work in the samples very small--if possible even less than a "second".. I have been recommended Cubase but figured I would see if any of you have a similar approach. peace

Guest miKeLogic303
Yeah if you are sticking with the PC go cubase, if you can afford it get a mac and go logic. The logic package is great value at the moment, almost makes up for the price of the mac computers. You will appreciate it in the long run, cause you can configure the program to work the way you want it. miKeLogic
