Fast melodies/solos...

Hi everybody

I'm wondering a long time now, how all the big artists in the genres psy trance/goa trance do their fast melodious synthy solos.

Let me give you some examples for that what i mean. Infected's Mush Mushi (last part of the song), or even their song dancing with kadafi, or Yahel's song Snap.... to call some!!

I don't know how they do it. Do they play the melody in a slow speed and then double speed it?? or do they put every single midi-marker into the midi matrix with the mouse?? or use they some plug-ins for play the melody in normal speed, but sound like really speed upped solos??

if anybody can help me, or give me a little explaination, this would answering a lot of questions.

Thanx & Greez

Personally, I can't play that well really.

I do everything by programming.

First I write the pattern say all in C, with the timing of the notes all sorted, then I move the first note (maybe), the second note (nearly always) etc until there is a nice tune...you can then just drag notes up and down to try them out...

Some people (me in Rebirth a while ago) record at half speed (mainly filter tweaks and stuff) and then speed it up...

Peace,

i think they probably step enter the notes on the sequencer...

cause it would be hard to play those...

although i read that they both play the piano pretty well so maybe they played some of those melodies...

use a gate :) it cuts the notes in a programmed way, it gives you much smaller notes than 1/16... if you have fruity loops there are some gate examples... the intro in mushi mushi uses a gate (and delay too)
