Guest Obeah
Posted this in the general forum, before I realised there was a music making forum: Just wandering if anyone here is making any Psy Trance themselves, I've been attempting for about 6 months, using Reason 2.5, have come up with some good tunes too, but don't quite seem to be getting the right sound. I think I'm right in sayin the 303 is the most typical Trance bass, any good sources to 303 samples? my ones seem a bit dull and rough. Any pointers? Influences include, obviously Hux (cryptic crunch), Miraculix, Scorb, Xerox & Illumination, I think you might have an idea of the sound I'm trying to get, also I know that a track can be whatever you want it to be kinda thing, but are there 'Rules' for putting a track together, I hear these terms 'Phrase' and 'Body' etc, I just kinda do my own thing, But my attempts seem to be crushed everytime I discover a new Psy artist. Thanx in advance.
Guest ben
well a lot of people use plug-ins for bass nowadays..like vb-l, tao pro, novation, but u can also use analog synth like juno 106 or sh-101... and to make good psytrance u need knowledge in sound production and some music background really helps too.. (which i don't have...)

Guest Shamantrix
General point is that U make music with U're imagination... not with cubase, pro tools, reason of logic audio Keep that in mind.
